What you’ll doThis role is responsible for managing a scalable and frictionless warehouse process while leading the team’s daily performance and adherence to our internal standards whilst delivering on KPIs. You will find great satisfaction in finding opportunities to improve our processes based on data and business objectives as well as delivering training, support to and leadership of the team. Our current team of 6 Warehouse Assistants will work closely with you to successfully run the warehouse. You’ll be responsible for running our inbound and dispatch, where we prize leadership and resourcefulness. It’ll mean working closely with the DC Manager and our broader warehouse and merchant teams. Your areas of responsibility Ensure optimal operational / production efficiencies and effectiveness by overseeing the warehouse teams and processes in line with agreed standard operating procedures and health and safety requirementsEnsure cost effective operations / production through planning, organising and managing the relevant operational functions to support optimal and lean production in line with capacity ,agreed budget, planned resources and targets / forecasts.Ensure operations comply with OSHA standards including alignment to the Company’s Health and Safety policies People Management elements including mentoring and coaching and managing performance and discipline of associates where required. Identify opportunities to reduce risks and increase warehouse efficiency, including density and workflow optimizations.Develop and grow the capabilities of warehouse operations to improve speed and accuracy.Manage stock loss and shrinkage through pro-active interventions and controls. What experience and skills you need for the role This role is best suited for an innovative, passionate people manager and proactive problem-solver with the following skills;5 years experience in production/warehouse environment 1 year at Team Lead or manager level experienceStrong knowledge in lean process mapping and team performance improvementsSelf-motivated and solutions-oriented Passion for team, to motivate, manage and develop Strong prioritization, time management and project management skillsUnderstanding of DC operations and Retail. Including but not limited to production, processes, supply chain, health & safety and distribution.
