Computer literacy level – intermediate
Additional skills – excel, power point,
Job related requirement – 1 – 2 years experience in the ocean import clearing space
Main purpose of the role – To support the Freight forwarders on the administrative functions in order for the smooth flow of import shipments through the import process. Key functions are Registration of files, performing the shipping line release, delivery instruction to the transporters & processing the invoice to client. Pass cargo dues & any other admin tasks
Duties & Repsonsibilitues:
must be able to work long hours when required
ability to work within time constraint and make own decisions
Punctuality and time management skills are essential to this position
ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
ability to communicate effectively on all levels
ability to meet targets & deadlines
paying attention to detail & dealing with errors promptly
own reliable transportation to & from work
dealing with both internal clients / service providers
ability to build relationships with clients & suppliers
to resolve queries from internal
register files within the prescribed time
administrative duties, checking pods & closing of files within prescribed time
providing accurate feedback on the Tango & Cargo wise reports
Invoice on time and accurately
Call for Anfs & process cargo dues
Files to entries minimum 7 days prior eta
Update all events / milestone according to the KPIs
Chasing up on deliveries with transporters
tracking shipments
