PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide a general Human Resources service in designated area of responsibility to ensure compliance to relevant HR legal requirements as per company’s HR policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 Certificate NQF 4 is essentialHuman Resources Diploma/Degree is essential.Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Human Resources is essential.Human Resources experience in mining environment is essential.MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
COMPETENCIES:
Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to basic health and safety principles in the workplace Demonstrate knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, regulations and definitions (Red Tickets)Demonstrate and apply an understanding of the Labour Relations Act (Act 66 of 1995) Demonstrate and apply an understanding of the Labour Relations Act with respect to Collective Agreements and Bargaining Councils Demonstrate and apply an understanding of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (Act 75 of 1997) SACO Enterprise T&ASAP HR
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Compiles daily, weekly and monthly HR Reports in order to assist management in making informed decisions (i.e. absenteeism, leave (including sick leave) and training).Facilitates and assists management to comply to legal requirements (i.e. ensuring that employees have valid red tickets, training plotters, first aid and legally required qualifications).Ensures that all medical certificates are scrutinised and verified with the Council of Medical Practitioners in order to ensure validity.Facilitates and ensures hearing loss counselling sessions are conducted and reports are submitted to management.Takes disciplinary action against employees for attendance related misconducts.Ensures that all communication related matters (briefs & feedback forms, ITV, Photos etc.) are timeously attended to, distributed and reported.Provides administrative support pertaining to various HR related functions.Facilitates and ensures hearing loss investigations are conducted. Ensures that non-availables processes are followed and adhered to.Ensures the correct capturing of records (i.e. exit interviews, disciplinary actions, hearing counselling/ investigations). Assists HR management with the implementation of the employee wellness program.
