Minimum Requirements:
BCom in Accounting or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
MFMA Certification will be an advantage
5 years’ experience in financial environment
Core Responsibilities:
Manage, plan, organise, control, coordinate and supervise all activities of salary administration, ensuring compliance with accounting practices, Local Government Acts and overall finance strategy
Input and implement strategic capability and leadership to ensure that strategic objectives are met
Implement operational processes to apply principles and techniques of payroll management
Ensure governance and risk management to ensure compliance to practices, processes and legislative requirements
Perform financial processes to ensure accurate and timeous processing of salary related movements in order to achieve an accurate month-end payroll and to generate salary advices to all paid employees
Maintain customer service orientation to ensure an aligned customer service excellence culture
