Minimum Requirements:
National Diploma in Communications, Marketing or Business Management or relevant equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification
1 – 3 years’ experience in social media communication environment
Journalism experience will be advantageous
A valid driver’s license
Excellent knowledge of the English language
Core Responsibilities:
Implement CoE social media strategy by generating and maintaining presence of CoE brand on social media sites and develop brand awareness
Serve as an on camera representing of City by creating and presenting digital content for social media platforms
Plan, manage and implement competitions and interactivity via social media
Bring an in-depth knowledge of the social media landscape and emerging platforms
Collaborate on social media strategy to increase audience whilst maintaining quality
Ensure that work adheres to policies and strategies of the Department in relation to social media
Adhere to specified standards, policies and SOPs to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources and escalate associated risk
Contribute to a culture, which builds rewarding relationships and enables exceptional customer service and ethical conduct by being a good example
