Job description
Major Activities Set up simulators in accordance with standard practiceAttend pre-brief and de-brief with ATS Instructors and delegatesFly the exercises according to the objectives for the relevant exercisesManipulation of the simulator generated tracks via the available Air Traffic Management Display Simulator and Pilot PositionsComply with all OHAS and safety requirements applicable to the delivery and administration of training interventionsCapturing, programming and testing of ICAO Flight Plan details into the simulator database to populate exercises for all training requirements within Air Traffic ServicesCoordinating with Air Traffic Services personnel in attaining real data when capturing and programming ICAO Flight Plan details into the simulator database to populate exercises for all training requirementsSoftware change exercise creation, revision and testingResearch, develop, write, program, test and re-engineer exercises to satisfy clients training requirementsResearch, program, test and re-engineer exercises and associated commodities for all disciplinesDevelop practical courseware (exercises, driver sheets)Maintaining the currency of training documentation by regularly cross referencing, reviewing and updating procedures relating to ATM and communication system functionalityMaintenance (compile, review, update) of an aircraft type and performance quick reference file/bookMaintain the IAIP currency by incorporating the published updates into the AIP files in the SSSReview and maintain to ensure that only current maps, charts and quick reference documents are available and when conducting training these documents are at the pilot positionCreate and maintain strong working relationships with clients, including suppliers/vendorsProvide precise and timeous feedback to clients
Minimum requirements
Minimum QualificationsGrade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics and English as passed subjectsGeography will be an added advantageCore Content is recommended Minimum ExperienceA minimum of 3 to 6 months related work experience or exposure
