We’re number one in contract logistics and international express delivery, and a leader in the forwarding business.Join us and you’ll be working for a global company that’s focused on service, quality and sustainability, and using the power of global trade to connect people and improve lives.And not just for our customers, but for every member of our Group too.At DHL Supply Chain South Africa, we’re looking for…VacancyInventory ControllerRole OutlineTo maintain stock integrity within the warehouse and reconcile all stock differences so as to maintain loss to the Company.Key Responsibilities • Ensure a high level of communication is maintained with both internal and external customers • Be actively involved in and support change initiatives • Honesty and pride in your job and an eye for detail • Ensure that product safety, quality and integrity is not compromised • To rely on systems and physical view of the product to ensure that stock /pallets within the warehouse is data driven . • To ensure that the inventory controller follow all the procedures of minimising at stock lose and locating stock in the warehouse • When conducting duties, follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices • Perform administration tasks according to standard operating procedures • Be accountable for each and every movement of the products pallets to minimize loose or damage of the products • Utilize warehouse management systems effectively to support the above tasks • Investigate and rectify any issues created by replenishment synchronization • Perform regular audits of key processes including Receiving, Put Away, Pick & Despatch according to agreed schedules and report • Ensure all equipment used during the course of daily duties is handled correctly and to report any defects to the Section Manager • Forecasting client request checks with demand requirements to ensure stock availability. • Coordinating the logistics of purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, and processing. • Developing and implementing inventory control systems and practices. • Manage and control of stock count process • Run reports and present to various stake holders DPDHL Core Competencies & Skills.
