Mr Price, is looking for an Operations Manager to lead and support a team of Area Managers across the region. In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving operational performance, enabling store teams to succeed, and ensuring our stores consistently deliver on brand, service, and profitability. Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and support a team of Area Managers to deliver strong operational performance across the regionDrive sales performance by ensuring forecasts are set, executed, and achievedManage regional budgets and controllable expenses to deliver profitability targetsEnsure stores deliver an exceptional and consistent customer experience aligned to the Mr Price brandOversee the implementation and compliance of store processes, standards, and operational controls across the regionUse store insights, customer feedback, and market analysis to identify opportunities and provide relevant feedback to buying and planning teamsDevelop and empower regional support roles and store leadership teams through coaching, mentoring, and performance managementCommunicate key performance indicators regularly, ensuring teams remain informed, focused, and alignedIdentify operational challenges and proactively implement cost-saving and efficiency improvementsMonitor stock availability and markdown performance across the region, ensuring stock is balanced to maximize sales opportunitiesEnsure stores are optimally staffed to support service delivery, productivity, and cost efficiency
Qualifications
A tertiary qualification in Retail Management, Business Management, Commerce, Operations Management, or a related field is advantageous. Equivalent retail leadership experience will also be considered.Proven experience in an Operations Manager or Area Manager role within a similar-sized retail environmentStrong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret data, identify opportunities, and make sound business decisionsA track record of leading teams to deliver results through coaching, development, and performance managementStrong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvementRetail apparel experience will be highly advantageousWillingness to travel regularly to stores within the region Mr Price Group Limited is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to Employment Equity.
