BI Analyst and Developer – (Wackys)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The BI Analyst & Developer is responsible for establishing a dedicated Business Intelligence capability within Wacky’s, enabling accurate, timely and automated reporting across the business. The role develops dashboards, integrates data sources and provides actionable insights across Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Maintenance and Labour, improving decision-making and reducing reliance on manual reporting as the business growsRole is based at the Durban Head Office, with travel as requiredDesign, build and maintain Power BI dashboards for operational and commercial reportingExtract, integrate and combine data from multiple databases and systems using SQLAutomate manual reporting processes to improve accuracy, timeliness and efficiencyDevelop data models and KPI frameworks for Sales, GP, EBITDA and store performance reportingAnalyse POS and transactional data to identify commercial insights and performance opportunitiesCreate and maintain a single source of truth for reporting across the businessPartner with department heads across Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Maintenance and Labour to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable dashboardsCommercially minded with a strong analytical mindsetSelf-starter, able to build a new capability from the ground upStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsREQUIREMENTS: Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related fieldPower BI (dashboard design and development)SQL and database management toolsAdvanced Excel (data modelling, advanced functions)Experience working with POS / transactional data systemsExperience within a multi-site retail, QSR or restaurant environmentExposure to data warehousing / ETL tools and processesAdvanced statistical or data modelling techniquesOwn vehicle and valid drivers license
