JOB PURPOSE:To be responsible for the analysis of replenishment performance, user support and the operational governance of the RPL policies and processes to the achievement of the Company’s merchandise objectives.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Analysis (30%)Conducting intensive analysis and interrogation of replenishment performance across the company2. Reporting (25%)Proactively reporting on exceptions, risks & opportunities identified in the analysis of product performance and providing the business with recommendations3. Governance of Replenishment policies and procedures (25%)4. Training & Development (20%)Process training and refresher training to all users.Networking and building relationships with all stakeholders to meet Company objectives:Planners and Store PlannersHeads of PlanningSystems AnalystQUALIFICATIONS:A Grade 12 Certificate/MatricB. Comm./ B. Science degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Stats and/or Business ScienceNational Diploma majoring in Internal Auditing and/or Cost and Management AccountingNational Diploma in Financial Information SystemsNational Diploma/ degree in Business/Retail/Merchandise Management or Accounting/FinanceEXPERIENCE:Essential:A minimum of 3 years Product Planning experience within a clothing retail / FMCG environmentWorking experience in replenishment planning systemsWorking experience in the latest Microsoft packages (Word, PowerPoint & Advanced Excel)2-3 years’ experience in analyzing informationPreferred:Additional Store Planning experience (more than 1 year).Replenishment experience (2-3 years)Previous exposure to and understanding of logistics and supply chain processesKNOWLEDGE:Expert product knowledge on the Just Enough tool or a similar replenishment systemKnowledge of the Retail merchandise cycle in terms of Buying, Planning, Logistics and StoresKnowledge of the retail and merchandise planning processesKnowledge and understanding of seasonal and non-seasonal replenishmentsSKILLS:Highly motivated, self-driven, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and deliverablesProactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and addressing potential issues before they impact business outcomesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, supported by logical and critical thinking skillsProcess-orientated, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance and continuous improvementAble to collaborate effectively in both one-on-one engagements and team environmentsBe customer-centricStrong planning, organising and time management skillsMerchant /Commercial thinking skillsExcellent numerical skillsConflict resolution skillsResilient, have tenacity and maintain high levels of drive and initiative under pressureAssertiveAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelThe ability to:o be deadline and results-driveno positively influence user behaviouro interpret and understand customer needs and translate these into technical specifications and operational requirementso act as a bridge between the Business Units and Replenishment Analyst (in systems team).
